Solage, an Auberge Resort partners once again with the Calistoga Wine Growers to host the fifth annual Calistoga Food & Wine Event Thursday, May 10 through Saturday, May 12, 2018. Founded by Solage in 2013, the annual three-day celebration of Upper Valley grape growers, farmers, chefs, and makers kicks off on the 10th with an exclusive reception featuring the flavors and vision of five local wineries and chefs at Bennett Lane Winery. On Friday, May 11 participants can learn the art of pasta making with Solbar Executive Chef Massimo Falsini who draws on his Italian roots in guiding participants through the techniques for creating perfect pappardelle noodles, as well as filling and crimping homemade ravioli. That evening, participating Calistoga restaurants beckon with customized dinner menus in support of the festival, with some menus including wine pairings and complimentary corkage for Calistoga AVA wines. The weekend culminates Saturday, May 12 at Solage for the signature Grand Tasting event where guests can enjoy unique local wines from more than 40 wineries, live music, and light bites from Solbar and local restaurants.
To welcome guests into the valley and provide an enhanced experience for this special three-day event, Solage is offering the Calistoga Food & Wine Package, which includes accommodations in a studio with a private terrace and two tickets to the Grand Tasting event.
Availability for all Calistoga Food & Wine Events is limited. Tickets must be purchased in advance on Eventbrite. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the Calistoga Firefighter’s Association. The full itinerary:
Thursday, May 10th
VIP Reception: Local wineries and chefs will feature their exclusive wine and culinary creations at an exclusive reception taking place at Bennett Lane Winery.

Friday, May 11th
Master Cooking Class: Join Solbar Executive Chef Massimo Falsini for a unique pasta making experience where guests will have the opportunity to learn how to slice the perfect pappardelle noodles as well as filling and crimping their own ravioli. Guests will be guided to create their own three course lunch that they’ll get to enjoy at Hindsight Wines.

Jericho Canyon Vineyard Lobster Feed: Guests can indulge in a bounty of seafood and wine at Jericho Canyon Vineyard for a casual lobster boil. The menu will include items such as fresh Maine lobster, prawns, corn, potatoes, Louisiana hot links along with Jericho Canyon wines.

Saturday, May 12th
Grand Tasting Event: As the grand finale to this three-day event, guests will enjoy an afternoon at Solage’s Solstice Event Lawn and Barn surrounded by panoramic views of Calistoga while discovering the rich flavors of Calistoga wine. Solbar’s Executive Chef, Massimo Falsini along with local chefs from Calistoga will also provide small bites and will have live cooking demonstrations while providing guests with a taste of the various flavors of the region through their food.
