Lynmar Estate, the preeminent producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Northern California’s Russian River Valley appellation, recently launched a luxurious wine and food experience that respects the current climate of social distancing. The touchless, on-property offering, Lynmar on Your Own, invites guests to enjoy the serenity of nature amidst spectacular vineyard views, where only butterflies and hummingbirds are your dining and drinking companions.

Resident proprietors of the bucolic Sebastopol property Lynn and Anisya Fritz serve as your ‘hands-off’ hosts. Each is intimately involved in their winery’s daily operations and each shares values of sustainability, world-class winemaking, locally sourced food, community, and gracious hospitality.

Unlike other wine country experiences, Lynmar on Your Own is self-led, allowing guests to truly relax and form their own memories on the estate’s exquisite grounds. A flight of Lynmar wines is complemented with a seasonal three-course lunch prepared by executive chef David Frakes and sourced from Lynmar’s organic gardens and other local family owned purveyors. You plate your own meal at your private table, guided by illustrated instructions.

The menu includes: Organic Popcorn with estate EVOO and tangerine-lavender salt, Mixed Organic Estate Baby Lettuces with shaved vegetables, toasted sunflower seeds, and heirloom tomato vinaigrette, House-made Green Curry Chicken  & Pork Belly Bao, and Orchard Peach Pound Cake. Included is a half-bottle each of Quail Hill Vineyard Chardonnay and Quail Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir to enjoy with lunch, sourced from the Russian River Valley estate vineyard over which you’ll be poised.

Two 90-minute seatings are offered by advance reservation on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 11:00am and 2:00pm PDT. To promote safety, fewer than 20 guests are allowed on the expansive property at each seating, with ample time for thorough cleaning in between. The experience for two is $225, and $150 for the winery’s Advocates Club members.

“Our family’s approach has always been to herald the beauty of the landscape and the story of the land by combining world-class wine and food grown and prepared right here on our Estate,” says Anisya. “Lynmar on Your Own is an extension to our community of this approach, with all of the appropriate safety measures in place to meet this moment.”
