Crime Prevention Education - Basic Home Security

Join your neighbors to attend a series of four crime prevention workshops held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 4 pm to 5 pm. These informative workshops are designed to train citizens how to recognize and report suspicious activities in their neighborhoods, implement crime prevention strategies such as home security improvements and to make our community safer through the Neighborhood Watch Program. The first workshop is Basic Home Security. Introductory information will be presented to cover home lighting, locks, door & fencing security with easy solutions along with how to organize your own Neighborhood Watch program. The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff and the Pleasant Hill Police Department are expanding the Neighborhood Watch Program throughout Pleasant Hill and updating previously organized neighborhoods. Neighborhood Watch is a program designed for neighbors to get to know each other, to look out for each other and to preserve neighborhoods and property.
