Scrooge the Musical, Temple Hill Auditorium – Free for all ages
Six performances of Scrooge the Musical rousingly portray the Christmas-time transformation of Victorian-era miser Ebenezer Scrooge as he is taken into the past, present and future by three mysterious apparitions. Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., this telling of Charles Dickens' classic story A Christmas Carol is adapted from the award-winning 1970 film featuring music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse. Performances will be presented in the Temple Hill Auditorium on Sat. Nov 25 (1:30 & 7:30 pm), Thurs. Nov 30 (7:30 pm), Fri. Dec 1 (7:30 pm) and Sat. Dec 2 (1:30 & 7:30 pm). Admission is free with ticket, available in advance at Templehillevents.com. Although each order is limited to 4 tickets, more than 1 order per email address may be placed (see FAQs button on website homepage). Standby, non-ticketed admission begins 15 minutes before show-time. The Auditorium is located at 4780 Lincoln Ave, Oakland, just off Highway 13. Parking is free. The production is directed by Alan Chipman and Jennifer Brown, with orchestra conducted by Matt Mackey. Come celebrate as Ebenezer revels in re-found joy and Tiny Tim proclaims "God bless us, everyone!"
