Create your own individual take on traditional copperplate calligraphy with Bay Area artist Leigh Wells! You will learn how to hold a split nib pen, form basic strokes, practice and connect letterforms, and execute an alphabet. Bring your favorite poem or quotation to letter as practice, or create a one of a kind greeting card for a friend. Appropriate for ages 14+. Class fee includes all materials (nib, nib holder and ink, paper, and worksheets). This workshop will be held during Bg Craft Fest 2017, a shopping extravangaza of local handmade gift items and artisanal foods held at Bedford Gallery December 2–3.
