SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) has a Bay Area Chapter in Oakland that is doing a lot of good work organizing white people to educate each other and work for racial justice, giving support to groups run by people of color. We are working on creating an affiliate out here in central Contra Costa County for those of us who are interested in working for racial justice on this side of the hills.
