Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra Concert - Let's Dance

The CCCO presents 'Let's Dance', 2/17 at Lesher Center for the Arts, featuring Jeffrey LaDuer playing Liszt, Bartok, Bizet, Ravel, and Tchaikovsky.

The Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra will present "Let's Dance", on Saturday, February 16 at El Campanil Theatre in Antioch, and Sunday, February 17 at Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. Both concerts begin at 2:00 and feature internationally-acclaimed pianist Jeffrey LaDuer, who will perform Franz Liszt's chilling Totentanz with the orchestra. Also on the program are Bartok's fiery Romanian Folk Dances, Bizet's steamy Carmen Suite No. 1, and Ravel's arrangement of the luscious "Sarabande" from Debussy's Pour le piano. The concert closes with Tchaikovsky's cherished Sleeping Beauty Suite. The orchestra's magnetic new conductor, Chad Goodman, was featured on the cover of the October issue of Diablo Magazine, and hailed by Forbes as an "entrepreneur bringing innovation to classical music." Throughout the program, he will engage the audience by sharing fascinating background information on the composers and their work. Adults $30, Seniors (62 & over) $20, Youth (17 & under) $10. Presented by Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra.
