Diablo Symphony Plays Brahms, Schumann

Diablo Symphony to Perform Works by Brahms, Clara Schumann and Robert Schumann

Celebrate the music of Clara Schumann, one of the greatest pianists of the nineteenth century, in a program that weaves together the music of three musicians whose lives became forever intertwined. The San Ramon Valley Chorale and the Diablo Symphony will perform Schicksalslied (“Song of Fate”) by Johannes Brahms, followed by Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto, brought to life by pianist Nadia Blank-Koliha. The program, under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Matilda Hofman, also features Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 (“Rhenish”). Subject to availability, tickets will be sold at the box office 1 hour prior to and ½ hour after curtain time. Ticket costs: Adults $35, Youth 13-17 $10, Children 12 and under Free.
