Reading and Science Activity with Author Nanette Heffernan

Nanette Heffernan will present her new book "Earth Hour" and teach us to make solar lamps!

Global Recycling Day is March 18th this year and we're celebrating with local author Nanette Heffernan, who will read her children's book "Earth Hour: A Lights-Out Event for Our Planet" before leading us in a craft, teaching us to build solar lamps from common household trash!

Are you a Scout? All Scouts who show up wearing their vest or sash will earn a fun-patch from the author!

You will also have the opportunity to purchase copies of Nanette's book for a Title 1 school, to spread eco-literacy.
