A Seminar for Students and Aspiring Journalist

with investigative journalist Jerry Mitchell

Jerry Mitchell, the acclaimed investigative journalist will meet with high school and college students and aspiring journalists to tell his incredible story, share professional insights, and offer career advice through an interactive presentation and Q&A format. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about journalism firsthand from his experience and expertise.

Mitchell is an investigative journalist with the Mississippi Clarion-Ledger whose courageous and tireless work reopened cold cases of the civil rights movement and led to the arrest and conviction of some of the most notorious killers of the era. He is a MacArthur Genius Grant recipient and Pulitzer Prize finalist. His new book, Race Against Time: A Reporter Reopens the Unsolved Murder Cases of the Civil Rights Era, has already been named one of Newsweek's Most-Anticipated Books of 2020 and will be available for purchase and signing after the program.
