Classical Guitar Performance, 16th-20th Centuries

San Francisco Bay Area classical guitarist Mark Abdilla will perform a virtual concert featuring a variety of musical pieces from the early 16th century to the 20th century.

San Francisco Bay Area classical guitarist Mark Abdilla will perform a virtual concert featuring a variety of musical pieces from the early 16th century to the 20th century. The concert will include music designed for the classical guitar representing a number of genres including Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Brazilian, and Spanish. The performance will also include holiday classics.


Mark Abdilla grew up in the Bay Area and holds degrees in music from San Francisco State University and the Guitar Institute in Hollywood. While specializing in Latin guitar styles, Abdilla also plays pop rock instrumentals. He performs across Northern California and tours throughout Europe during the summer.


Live! From the Library, produced by the Walnut Creek Library Foundation, features free public lectures, literary events, and cultural programs for the Walnut Creek and Ygnacio Valley libraries. Live!
