Practicing Gratitude

Encaustic Paintings by Melissa Stephens in conjunctions with East Bay Open Studios

MELISSA STEPHENS: ENCAUSTIC PAINTINGS
NOVEMBER 14/15 and 21/22, 10 AM - 5 PM
Practicing Gratitude is showing at Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek, in conjunction with the East Bay Open Studios, an on-going tradition in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 40 years. Open studios is a free self-guided tour of artist studios and exhibition spaces throughout the East Bay. This event offers one-on-one interactions with artists, and the opportunity to learn about what inspires them. Visitors can then purchase directly from the artists. The show is virtual and in-person for three weekends in November.

Melissa will hold live encaustic demonstrations on Sunday, Nov. 15th & 22nd in front of the gallery. If you've never seen someone paint with fire, this is your chance! Melissa is an artist and encaustic instructor who loves sharing this remarkable medium with others.
