Arthur Omura In Concert on Harpsichord and Organ

A Live Online Event, hosted by St. Paul's Concert Series in Walnut Creek

St. Paul’s Concert Series is excited to present Arthur Omura on Harpsichord and Organ, in a live performance broadcast from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, November 28 at 7pm. This live performance will be broadcast online only (no live audience attending at the church, please).  This concert offers free admission, but donations are greatly appreciated! Average donations are $20/$10 students. To register for this concert, click on the link provided.  For more information, go to http://www.stpaulswc.org/concert-series.

Arthur Omura is a specialist in historical keyboard instruments based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He studied with Charles Rus in San Francisco, and with Dr. Lucinda Carver at the University of Southern California. He has performed at the Boston and Berkeley Early Music festivals and given numerous performances in Los Angeles and the Bay Area. He has worked with MicroFest, wildUp, iPalpiti, Les Surprises Baroques, Musica Angelica, and the American Bach Soloists. Omura has collaborated on several recordings, most recently on “Kontrapunktus”, a collection of new music by composer Mark Moya written in a Baroque idiom. His interest in instrument making and organology led him to work with harpsichord builder Curtis Berak, whom he has assisted in restoring several instruments, and with organ builder Manuel Rosales. Omura is the director of music at Grace Episcopal Church in Martinez, California.

For St. Paul’s, Omura brings us a lovely evening of Baroque, Classical, and Modern favorites on harpsichord and organ. After the performance, our performer will dialog with our audience through comments submitted from the online chat.

This performance is being broadcast online; our in-person performances at St. Paul's have been postponed until it is safe to congregate again.

Located in downtown Walnut Creek, the St. Paul’s Concert Series offers monthly world-class performances to the local community for an affordable, donation-based cost. All are welcome, regardless of donation.
