Author and attorney Reece Hirsch discusses how he turns cutting-edge privacy and cybersecurity issues into thrillers. In addition to being the author of six thrillers, Reece is the co-head of the privacy and cybersecurity practice of an international law firm. Reece discusses how he draws upon some scary and surprising real-world issues from his legal practice in crafting page-turning thrillers, the latest of which is Dark Tomorrow. Reece will be in conversation with Terry Shames, the author of the Samuel Craddock mystery series.


Reece’s first book, The Insider, was a finalist for the International Thriller Writers Award for Best First Novel. His latest series, which includes Black Nowhere and Dark Tomorrow, features FBI cybercrime investigator Lisa Tanchik. His three prior books, The Adversary, Intrusion and Surveillance, all feature former Department of Justice cybercrime prosecutor Chris Bruen. Reece is a partner of an international law firm and co-chair of its privacy and cybersecurity practice. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Valentino Achak Deng Foundation.
