Public Art Walking Tour
Hour-long walking tour of downtown Walnut Creek art hosted by Bedford Gallery.
Bedford Gallery offers one hour docent-led walking tours of Walnut Creek's wonderful downtown public art collection every third Saturday, April through November (see schedule below). Our Docents are trained by public art specialists and can offer information and insight appropriate for all ages.
Tours start at 11 a.m. and meets in front of the Lesher Center for the Arts on the plaza. Wear comfortable shoes & sun screen. Tours are approximately 1 hour.

*Schedule is subject to change. Walking tours will be cancelled in the event of rain.
Tour #1 - Around the Lesher Center for the Arts, City Hall, and Civic Park.
Tour #2 - Plaza Escuela & shopping areas (Mt. Diablo Blvd. at California Blvd.)
Tour #3 - Business parks near the Walnut Creek BART station (involves stairs)
Tour #4 - Downtown Main St. and Library
Tour highlights include an up-close view of works by Stephen DeStaebler, Yoshio Taylor, Bruce Beasley, Beniamino Bufano, and others, as well as the Veteran's Memorial Plaza by Cliff Garten.
