Festival Opera and the City of San Ramon present Opera in the Park
Going South to San Ramon this year!
Opera in the Park is going on the road in 2016 and heading south... to one of the Bay Area's most dynamic cities.
Festival Opera will partner with the City of San Ramon to present a family-friendly summer afternoon of fine music, picnic lunches, and a Community Fair featuring childrens' activities. And, of course, it's all still FREE.
Exciting soprano Shawnette Sulker, featured in this season's opera in August, and riveting baritone Zachary Gordin, will perform a late-afternoon/early evening concert of favorite arias and familiar pops, emceed by John Kendall Bailey.
Bring your blanket and enjoy music al fresco as Festival Opera artists perform some of the world's finest music, live and in-person.
Central Park is located in San Ramon, at Bollinger Canyon Road and Alcosta Boulevard. From I-680, take the Bollinger Canyon exit east to Alcosta, and free parking is available. The program gets underway at 4:00 p.m. in the amphitheater, so arrive early to stake out a good spot. Chairs, blankets, coolers, non-alcoholic beverages and food are all welcome, but please note that no alcohol or cooking gear is permitted in the park.
So, make plans to join Festival Opera and the City of San Ramon for a delightful early-summer program of operatic favorites.
