Volunteer Center of the East Bay
The Volunteer Center links people who care with people in need. A small contribution of time by a volunteer can make a big difference. The Center lists over 1,200 different opportunities to volunteer in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties on their website, www.helpnow.org.

Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

The Food Bank works to alleviate hunger and provides an efficient system for collecting and distributing food with the vision that all people in Contra Costa and Solano counties will receive at least one nutritious meal a day.

Women's Initiative

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.

Each year thousands of abused and neglected children in Contra Costa County come under the court's care because they are unable to live safely at home. CASA volunteers advocate for these children to make sure they don't get lost in the legal system or remain in foster care.
