Napa Valley’s Meritage Resort is showcasing fun-filled activities this holiday season with “Merry Meritage.” The festivities kick off on November 11 with the opening of Napa Valley’s only holiday ice rink, open through the festive season until January 2. Situated on what is ordinarily sister resort Vista Collina’s expansive lawn, the rink turns these two popular Napa hotels into a winter wonderland. 

Tickets – available to both hotel guests and visitors at $25 per skater - are available here and include 90 minutes of skating and ice skate rentals. Military and first responders can receive $5 off tickets on Tuesdays. Find a full schedule of theme nights and fun events (such as Ugly Sweater night, Holiday PJ Party, and Carol-oki skate night), as well as hours of operation here. 

Along with skating, beer, wine, and cocoa can be purchased from the on-site tasting rooms. Guests can also book experiences such as a fire pit rental (seats up to eight guests; available for $225) or a private Veuve Clicquot igloo (seats up to six guests; available for $175) to continue the fun once skating concludes. 

Additionally, families can experience a festive evening at the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 26, complete with Christmas carolers and photos with Santa. Participants are encouraged to bring a toy to donate to Toys for Tots. Holiday tea experiences will also be available, allowing families to enjoy tea, housemade sandwiches, cookies, storytelling, special princess appearances, and more in the property’s heated and outdoor restaurant space from Dec. 4-18. Families can also visit with Santa Claus weekly, followed by reading time at 4:30 pm each Friday-Sunday from Nov. 26 - Dec. 19. Guests can also do their holiday shopping on property at Fivetown or stop by the Merry Meritage Artisan Market to support local artisans and take a piece of Napa Valley home.
