WEBINAR: Developing Workforce Housing in the Walnut Creek Region

On the heels of its informative Future of Office webinar, the Walnut Creek Chamber’s Civic Affairs Forum is back with another expert panel for a discussion about “Developing Workforce Housing in the Walnut Creek Region” on Tuesday, March 14 at 9:00am.

When the term ‘affordable housing’ comes up, it can mean two different things: government or non-profit subsidized housing, or naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH) open to anyone on the regular market, but within the budget of many families.

This forum looks at Walnut Creek’s 2023-2031 Housing Element in relationship to housing for the 'missing middle'—teachers, nurses, hospitality workers—and how to build “affordable housing” so people can live closer to where they work.
