Napa Valley Migrates to Boca Raton This January for Artisans of Wine & Food
Dec 18, 2024 09:58AM ● By Fran MillerHead to sunny Florida this coming January with 75 of Napa Valley’s finest wineries and winemakers for the Artisans of Wine & Food event held at The Boca Raton. The multi-day experience (January 17 – 19, 2025), presented by Capital One, will be orchestrated by some of the world’s most renowned culinary minds such as legendary Chef David Breeden, famed Chef and Restaurateur Mario Carbone, and a dinner curated by an all-female line-up of top chefs matched with female-owned wineries/winemakers.
Rub elbows with star winemakers and representatives from some of Napa’s best known wineries, as well as some of the region’s small, family-owned labels such as Accendo Cellars, an elite brand of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc highlighting Napa Valley's terroir; Almacerro, Howell Mountain's most remote vineyard, originally owned by AVA co-founder Bill Smith and revived by Frank Scherkenbach); and Firetree Vineyards, the Chardonnay exclusive vineyard in Carneros now stewarded by a new-to-Napa Venezuelan family who split their time between Napa and Miami.
The weekend culminates with a four-course dinner gala and an exclusive auction of fine wines, luxury experiences, and bespoke getaways, hosted by international auctioneer Jacqueline Towers-Perkins.
“For the first time, we’re bringing the heart of Napa Valley to the East Coast in an unprecedented showcase of wine and culinary talent,” said Daniel A. Hostettler, President & CEO of The Boca Raton. “It’s a privilege to host these celebrated vintners and chefs, and we’ve crafted an extraordinary event for Club members and hotel guests to toast to a truly worthy cause.”
The Boca Raton is itself an adventure. Originally opened in 1926 as The Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn, the resort and private club celebrates its most remarkable evolution during this, its upcoming 100th anniversary. The property provides year-round escape with five hotels amid 200 waterfront acres including Cloister, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Tower, and Bungalows. Resort amenities include a private beach, the Forbes Five-Star Spa Palmera, an 18-hole golf course, a full-service marina, Racquet Club with 14 tennis courts and 12 pickleball courts, retail shops, seven swimming pools, various water activities at Harborside Pool Club, state-of-the-art fitness clubs and wellness collaborations.
