Artisan Bread Course @ Diablo Valley College for DVC Students

Are you a student @ DVC? Get your hands in the dough with this short course just before Thanksgiving!

Master Bread Baker and author Michael Kalanty returns to teach a 6-day short course at DVC, Pleasant Hills Campus in the Fall semester 2019. Limited to students enrolled at DVC.


We'll cover Old World breads from France and Italy, San Francisco Sourdough, and modern sourdough breads. Review of basic bread, too, like Baguettes, Dinner Rolls, Whole Wheat Loaves, Challah, Focaccia, Sticky Buns, and much, much more!!!

Chef Michael is a certified Master Bread Baker, Culinary Educator, and Executive Pastry Chef. He's baked breads all over the world, won several international awards, and his sourdough starter is stored in the International Sourdough Hall of Fame in Belgium. Come and bake with him, you'll have a good time and really up your bread game!!!
