Scheid Vineyards has farmed wine grapes in Monterey County, California since 1972. With a state-of-the-art winery and 12 sustainably certified estate vineyards totaling 4,000 acres located along a 70-mile spread of the Salinas Valley, Scheid offers two environments in which fans can sample and enjoy its wines, both the familiar (Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) and the more exotic (Albariño, Grüner Veltliner, Grenache Blanc, Petit Manseng, Roussanne, Tannat, Tempranillo and Touriga Nacional).

Less than two percent of Scheid's grapes – only the finest vineyard blocks - are selected for its label. Each wine is handcrafted, using the best of new technology combined with traditional methods to showcase the varietal character of the grapes, the individuality of each vineyard, and the exceptional quality of the Monterey Viticultural Appellation.

Scheid’s Carmel Tasting Room is Located one block from Ocean Avenue at San Carlos & 7th in historic Carmel-by-the-Sea. This location is an inviting haven to taste an array of Scheid Vineyards wines. Tastings are currently held outdoors following all current health guidelines.

Scheid Vineyards' Greenfield tasting room

Scheid’s Winery Tasting Room is located amongst the vineyards just off Highway 101 between Greenfield and King City. It is easy to find thanks to their 400ft wind turbine. Guests can enjoy an abundance of shaded and spacious outdoor patios while enjoying lawn games.

Guests can choose from two different tasting flights at each location. Reservations are recommended and limited walk-in space is available.

While they do not offer food and wine pairing flights, they do offer a selection of packaged cheeses, meats, and small bites at the winery location.

Cheers!
