The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco is the city’s holiday centerpiece with its lobby transformed into a winter wonderland and its signature exterior tree that lights the peaks of Nob Hill. But the one event that truly rings-in the festive season is the always anticipated Teddy Bear Tea. 

One of San Francisco’s most celebrated and popular holiday traditions, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco’s Teddy Bear Tea treats guests ages 2-11 years to a teddy bear while they enjoy a room full of festive entertainment presented by elves and their sidekicks, photo opportunities, and captivating holiday “eye candy.” Additionally, guests of the Teddy Bear Tea are encouraged to donate a wrapped brand-new toy for the hotels’ Toy Drive, which will be gifted to young patients at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. (The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco partners with both Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals to raise funds for necessary resources for the children of both organizations.) 

As children and their families delight in the joyous festivities, they are presented with a menu of hot chocolate, scones, tea cakes, teddy bear sweet treats and assorted sandwiches including classic egg salad; winter spiced apple butter with pickled pink lady apple; and smoked salmon mouse, wild Alaskan salmon roe, cornichons, and dill.    

The Teddy Bear Tea is available November 26-27, December 3-4, 10-11, 17-23, 2022 with bookings available at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and is priced at $172 per guest, inclusive of tax and gratuity. (Guests under the age of 2 years are complimentary, but will not be offered a teddy bear.)
