This year Concord will carry forth its legacy of ongoing appreciation of jazz with a five-day, LIVE celebration. The Concord Jazz Festival was founded by Carl Jefferson in 1969 and drew 17,000 attendees in its first year. Since then it has become an inaugural event and in 2019, Concord celebrated the Jazz Festival’s 50th year by presenting an array of jazz artists throughout the city of Concord including Poncho Sanchez, Chick Corea, Dave Koz, and many more. Concord plans to continue the legacy and keep the jazz alive by showcasing five days of jazz performances!
