Newton Vineyard makes a first, modest step in its move beyond the devastating impact of the 2020 Glass Fire with the launch of private guest experiences held at beautiful Brasswood in St. Helena. While Newton’s Spring Mountain winery is rebuilt, Brasswood stands in to serve as the luxe winery’s temporary home base, and the Newton team is delighted to find a partner that shares the same commitment to quality and attention to detail.

Pouring within Brasswood Village’s various elegant venues, Newton is again able to personally share its passion and craftsmanship with wine enthusiasts. The luxurious, by-appointment tasting experiences include either a private one-hour tasting of four Newton wines (including two single-vineyard wines), paired with delectable bites ($75 per person, one to six guests maximum) or a private lunch with pairings ($180 per person, one to six guests maximum). The 90-minute lunch features the four Newton wines, and seasonal items from the Brasswood Restaurant menu such as mozzarella ‘a la minute,’ seared ahi tuna, creamy wild mushroom risotto, New York steak with truffle butter, and more.

Part of the LVMH portfolio since 2001, Newton Vineyard was founded in 1977 by English businessman Peter Newton, an eclectic innovator with a pioneering spirit and a deep respect for nature. Newton’s ambitious quest was to create wines that embrace contrasts, while delivering a classic freshness, precision, and supple ripeness offered by Napa’s climate. He left the valley floor to plant new vineyards on Spring Mountain’s steep hillsides, where volcanic, well-draining soils would deliver a distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon expression.

Newton Vineyard honors its founder’s original vision by continuing to champion mountain vineyards and their unfiltered, truthful terroir expression. The winery’s varietals express the terroir of their mountain estates and Carneros vineyards with the ripeness that California brings, as well as bright freshness and classic style, making the winery a natural partner for Brasswood, whose philosophy of farm-to-table comfort food is inspired by the bounty of Napa Valley.
