Lesher Center ignites with Latin fervor during Fiesta Cultural

The Lesher Center for the Arts is about to resonate with the lively hues and beats of Latin America during Fiesta Cultural from June 20-25. This vibrant celebration brings together a range of notable names in media, comedy, theater, and music, each reflecting the rich tapestry of Latin American culture.

Political powerhouse and cultural pundit Ana Navarro launches the week with a June 20 appearance at the Lesher Foundation’s Newsmakers speaker series. Revered for her no-nonsense wit and insightful commentaries on The View and Meet the Press, Navarro offers an informed take on national politics.

Known for her Amazon Prime special Gina Brillon: The Floor is Lava and performance in HBO's Easily Offended, on June 22, actress, comedian and writer, Gina Brillon sets the stage ablaze with her sharp humor.

Legendary jazz musician Arturo Sandoval performs his Latin virtuoso on June 23. Recognized as one of the most brilliant, multifaceted musicians of our time, the ten-time Grammy Award winner performs his soulful melodies on the trumpet and piano.



Then on June 24, immerse in the spirit of Latin American culture at a sizzling community party, Fiesta Cultural. Expect thrilling performances, tasty food and drink, plus a mini-makers market at this free event.  As night falls, get ready for the electrifying beats of Las Cafeteras, the East LA sensation that fuses Afro-Mexican rhythms with evocative lyrics.



Bringing a modern take to traditional Mexican music, on June 25 the youthful ensemble Mariachi Herencia de México takes the stage with the dynamic vibes of contemporary North America.



Center Rep's take on Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights continues keeping crowds buzzing with its high-energy, show-stopping dance numbers through June 24. And Bedford Gallery’s About Face is getting up close and personal to the human spirit across eras.



Fiesta Cultural is driven by a dynamic committee of community and business leaders, and arts enthusiasts.
