Diablo Symphony Orchestra Joins Local Choirs for Festive “Christmas Fantasia” Concert

Choirs from the Walnut Creek/Danville area join the Diablo Symphony Orchestra to “sing in the season” at Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church on Dec 17 at 3:30 pm. Holiday favorites “Twas the Night before Christmas" and "Frosty the Snowman" pair with Fantasia on Christmas Carols by Ralph Vaughan Williams, a set of carols by American composer Christopher Rouse and Star of Wonder (We Three Kings) arranged by David Drummond. Instruments of the orchestra highlight the season in Victor Hel-Hutchinson’s A Carol Symphony. The concert will be conducted by guest conductor David Drummond, with featured baritone Matt Hanscom, choirs Chromatica, Diablo Choral Artists, San Ramon Valley Chorale and Mount Diablo Children’s Choir. Seating, which is not reserved, will begin at 3:00. Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for youth 13-17 and free for children 12 and under. Advance tickets can be ordered directly from our website; by calling the Lesher ticket office at (925) 943-7469, Tuesday through Sunday, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm; by going online at www.LesherArtsCenter.org; or in person through the Lesher ticket office at 1601 Civic Drive Walnut Creek.
