The Walnut Creek Bead & Design Show returns to Marriott Walnut Creek on October 5-7, 2018. We invite everyone to shop more than 200 exhibits of beautiful, limited-edition, artisan design -- products not found elsewhere that can be purchased directly from artisans and tradespeople.

When beauty and skill work together, expect artisan design -- jewelry, gemstones, beads, findings, clothing, glass, silver, ceramics, and textiles. These are handcrafted products with an "old but new" quality that goes perfectly with today’s world clothing and fashion. The contemporary designs have an ancient aura, while traditional pieces are imbued with an Arts and Crafts spirit. Exhibitors are chosen for artistic ability and singularity of work.

The original pieces are offered exclusively at Walnut Creek Bead & Design Show, and often for the first time. Many artisans have spent upwards of forty years, perfecting their work, reviving lost styles, using meticulous, time-honored techniques and age-old tools.

The more adventuresome attendees may want to define themselves with handwork, roll up their sleeves and engage their skills in one of many workshops offered and taught by artisans in residence. Subjects include jewelry design, art clay, wirework, stone setting, beadwork, leatherwork, hand knotting, micro chasing, and metal work.

The show also promotes tradespeople who are ready to serve you with an assortment of jewelry and bead components, such as glass beads, pearls, lapis lazuli, amber, rubies, opals, art deco emeralds, Jizera garnets, gold & silver pieces, hard-to-find decorative charms, vintage beads, and hand-wrought findings. Whatever your passion, find the rarest collectibles, artisan made clothing, unusual accessories, or designer components --from much-sought-after African trade beads and handmade gold pieces to hand tooled leather shoes and Peruvian wool jackets.
