Temirzhan Yerzhanov, Pianist, Performs in Walnut Creek

Temirzhan Yerzhanov launched his international career by winning the Gold Medal at the International Robert Schumann Piano Competition in Zwickau, Germany, and now continues to perform as an emerging conductor and pianist. Yerzhanov has performed in prestigious venues such as London Wigmore Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, Leipzig Gewandhaus, New York Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Moscow Conservatory, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Grand Halls, and many others around the globe. He is renowned and followed globally for his outstanding musical expression and virtuosity. Yerzhanov was named ‘Best Performer of 2007’ by San Francisco Classical Voice, and in his native country he is awarded with Yenbek Sinirgen Qairatkeri, the highest honorary title for national contribution. Yerzhanov has made numerous album recordings, and often performs on prestigious radio broadcasts.

At St. Paul’s, Yerzhanov’s performance will include Schumann’s Papillons Op 2, Greig’s Selections from Lyric Pieces, Chopin’s Scherzo No. 4, Rachmaninov’s EtudeTableux, and Tchaikovsky’s Grand Sonata Op. 37.

St. Paul’s is pleased to present this performance in our Concert Series. Located in downtown Walnut Creek, the St. Paul’s Concert Series offers monthly world-class performances to the local community for an affordable, donation-based cost. Free parking is provided, or we’re an easy walk three blocks from Walnut Creek BART.
